Witness Your Vote Ontario opens its Phase 1 preview
The independent election-transparency platform is now in preview: voluntary voter declarations with SHA-256 verifiable receipts, a participating-candidate directory, and neutral campaign tools — open to every eligible Ontario municipal candidate on equal terms.
Witness Your Vote Ontario has opened its Phase 1 preview.
The platform lets eligible electors voluntarily declare which municipal candidate they voted for — after voting through the official election process — and receive a receipt sealed with a SHA-256 integrity hash that can be independently verified at any time.
Key protections active from day one:
- No live declaration totals for anyone while voting is open
- Candidates never see declarant identities or voter data
- Declarations are preserved as evidence with an append-only audit trail
- No ballot imagery or voting credentials are ever accepted
Witness Your Vote is an independent initiative. It is not an official voting system and does not replace the official ballot, official election result, statutory recount or court process.
