Witness Your Vote creates an independent, securely preserved record of eligible electors who voluntarily declare which municipal candidate they voted for.
Independent
Not operated by any government, election authority, party or campaign. Participating candidates get public tools — never control of the declaration database or verification process.
Neutral by design
No live totals while voting is open. No leaderboards. Every legitimate registered candidate can participate on identical terms.
Evidence-grade
Every declaration is sealed with a SHA-256 integrity hash, preserved without silent deletion, and protected by an append-only audit log.
Lawful and voluntary
Participation is always voluntary. Any apparent discrepancy must be reviewed through proper legal and election processes.

Voluntary declarations with verifiable receipts, participating-candidate directory, Ontario Election Centre, newsroom, PITA and accountability programs — in preview.
Next
Candidate self-service dashboards, embeddable tools for campaign sites, referral analytics and a paper-ballot advocacy centre.
After the vote
Post-election verification reports (“Minimum Independently Witnessed Votes”), evidence freezing with dual-custodian confirmation, and province-wide scaling.
Before public launch, the platform will be reviewed by an Ontario municipal-election lawyer, a privacy professional, a cybersecurity professional, and an authorized commissioner/notary for any commissioned-declaration process.
Witness Your Vote is an independent initiative. It is not an official voting system and is not operated by Elections Canada, Elections Ontario, the City of Kawartha Lakes or any other Ontario municipality.
Witness Your Vote does not replace the official ballot, official election result, statutory recount or court process.
Participation is voluntary. No person is required to disclose how they voted.
Witness Your Vote is an independent initiative. Participating candidates receive access to public campaign tools but do not control the private voter-declaration database or evidence-verification process.
